The typically fabulous woman puts on an average of 515 chemicals PER day on our bodies.
Let that sink in a minute.
We wonder why so many issues are happening today from sleeplessness, to lack of energy, to autoimmune diseases, to infertility, to cancer diagnosis, to lack of sex drive, to emotional cluster, to soooo many other things.
Let’s just pause a minute and see if we can reduce the amount of chemicals... the toxicity in our homes.
Studies show that SAHM’s (which this year is pretty much every mom) are creating toxic environment’s in their home because of the cleaning products they use. And I am sure 2020 also gave that a gigantic boom… ladies it does not have to be this way.
You can have a clean house, clean skin, clean, hair (get my drift) without pouring on the harsh (ahem toxic) chemicals. I promise you.
I previously wrote about the top chemicals to avoid at all costs in your personal care and cleaning products that I wish I had known about as a breast cancer survivor.
Let's start with the morning routine:
1) Face Wash:
a. I use the ART Gentle Cleanser – I love that how gentle it is and frankincense and lavender which are known to relax lines and rejuvenate the skin.
b. NEW – Bloom Brightening Cleanser was launched this summer, it has the ability to hydrate and showcase your natural radiance with plumeria and pracaxi seed oil (can’t wait to try this one!)
c. Oily skin – Orange Blossom is a fantastic option for anyone with oily skin, acne cleaning gently with lemon, lavender and orange.
2) Face Lotion:
a. I use – DIY Skin Serum: Frankincense + lavender + liquid coconut oil – reduces lines, addresses any skin issues, fantastic for whole system
b. NEW – Bloom Brightening Lotion: made with pili pulp oil from the Philippines that has fantastic results for skincare. Antioxidants help reduce appearance of future damage.
c. Orange Blossom lotion – with lavender, coconut oil, lemon and orange this vegan-friendly moisturizer helps nourish the skin without adding oiliness.
3) Make Up:
a. Savvy Minerals is fantastic for all your make up needs. Let’s start a #cleanbeauty revolution by throwing out all the harmful products that pile on pore clogging, irritating, harsh chemicals.
b. Savvy has options for every complexion from loose powder foundation, liquid foundation, lipsticks, lip gloss and so many colors to choose from for eyeshadows and blushes.

b. SALE—our Activated Charcoal Body bar is 10% off this month, this is a perfect option for body and face with the orange blossom blend, cleanses without drying skin out
c. Body Gel – there are several options like Lavender, Sensation, Morning Start or Evening Peace with different blends to please anyone

b. Lavender – this is a crowd pleaser, gentle on the skin and smells great
c. Seedlings – I’ll get into the Seedlings line next gathering, but our family loves this one because it is super gentle and versatile, it can be used for body and face, for everyone in the family

b. Mirah Hair Oil – helps reduce frizz, leaves hair shiny and healthy
c. Copaiba Vanilla Shampoo + Lavender Mint Conditioner – other great options
7) Household Cleaner:
a. I use – Thieves Cleaner this has replaced every other cleaner in my house. You need 1-2 capfuls for standard cleaning (countertops, etc) and for deeper cleaning add 3-4 capfuls. You can also make several other cleaning products with Thieves Cleaner like dish soap, laundry soap, shower cleaner, oven cleaner and toilet cleaner. It kills 99.9% of pathogens and is safe on every surface. You can use Thieves Cleaner on any counter, any floor, toys and one of the best parts is your children can help you clean and you don’t have to be concerned that anyone is breathing in cancerous chemicals. A bottle is $22 and will last you a long time because it is so concentrated.
8) Diffuser vs. Candles:
a. I used to love Yankee candles, I wanted every seasonal candle they offered. Until I realized how toxic they were. Lighting a candle in your home is the equivalent of smoking cigarettes. Ditch em for a diffuser.
b. I use – Desert Mist & Lantern diffusers – they both last up to 10 hours, they change lights and are great for nightlights in a child’s room. They are pretty and blend with any decorative style.
c. There are so many diffusers available now like:
i. Aria Diffuser – the crème da la crème of diffusers, this one is so beautiful and offers music and a remote
ii. Sweet Aroma – great for small spaces, traveling or bathrooms
iii. *NEW* Lucia & Lustre – brand new, each is hand glass blown and perfect for any style
9) Lips:
a. I use: lip balm—grapefruit is my favorite, but I really love all of them. They actually moisturize my lips and I’ve never had issues with cracked lips since.
b. I use: Poppy Seed Lip Scrub – this is awesome and lasts a very long time. Helps leave lips smooth, moisturized and healthy.
c. Savvy Minerals offers many lip glosses and lipsticks, several colors to choose from and toxin free!
10)Laundry:
a. I use—Thieves Laundry Soap (I kick it up a notch with purification, lavender, tea tree, lemon, grapefruit oils + baking soda + apple cider vinegar)
b. Dryer Sheet alternative – I use the Seedlings Baby Wipes, these are one of the most versatile items YL carries. It triples as safe dryer sheets, baby wipes + face wipes. With lavender and aloe vera it does a great job with all three.
c. Dryer Wool Balls – you can add any oils of your choice
11) Hair/Skin/Nails:
Sulfurzyme is one of the best supplements YL offers, Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) a naturally occurring organic form of dietary sulfur needed by our bodies every day to maintain the structure of proteins, protect cells and cell membranes, replenish the connections between cells, and preserve the molecular framework of connective tissue.* MSM also supports the immune system, the liver, circulation, and proper intestinal function and works to scavenge free radicals.* Wolfberries contain minerals and coenzymes that support the assimilation and metabolism of sulfur
12) Sanitizer –
today this stuff is flying off the shelves, but most are filled with toxic chemicals and harmful for skin. Did you see the recent woman who burned 18% of her body with hand sanitizer? There is every reason to switch to a healthier option. Thieves Hand Sanitizer kills 99.9% of pathogens with the Thieves blend while keeping hands nourished with aloe vera and has peppermint.

15) Sales: 10% off Activated Charcoal Soap –
I love this soap. It is awesome and works as a body wash and face wash. Its naturally derived formula includes powerful skin-cleaning agents, moisturizing ingredients, and the bright, fresh scent of our Orange Blossom essential oil blend.
